IT-ATS can receive satellite downlinks for your company or department. Downlinks offer good picture and audio quality and are a great way for large groups of people to attend special events, symposia, or training events. Our facilities can accommodate up to 100 people. If you require more space, we can broadcast the signal over our campus cable TV network that reaches to every cable TV outlet on the Newark campus. Events are recorded to DVD for later playback.
Satellite Dish Capabilities
IT-ATS has a satellite dish unit located on the main University of Delaware campus in Newark, Delaware. It is capable of receiving both analog and digital KU band signals.
To receive a satellite downlink, we will need the information listed below.
Distributing the Downlink
Included in the cost of the downlink is a DVD copy of the program. The DVD can be duplicated through our duplication service (with proper permission obtained from copyright holder).
Your program can also be distributed in a variety of ways throughout the campus. You can choose to have the live downlink placed on the campus cable television system where it can reach all cable outlets on the main campus in Newark. You can also reserve one of our studios in Pearson Hall in Newark for your group.
Costs are per hour of downlink programming. To downlink content that is used for a course is free.
