Costs
DVD based source: Costs are $20 for up to one hour of content and $5 for each additional hour, per source.
Tape based source: Costs are $40 for up to one hour of content and $10 for each additional hour, per source.
Why are tape based sources higher? The cost is higher due to the fact that tape based machines are no longer being produced in large quantities, meaning that new machines are more expensive to purchase. They are also more expensive (or impossible) to repair. Another fact is that tape based media is a "real-time" conversion; meaning that if the media is 2 hours long, it takes two hours to convert. A DVD source converts significantly faster.
Copyright
ATS will not copy any content for which you do not hold copyright or copyright permission. This includes (but is not limited to) software titles, training videos, movies, and promotional videos. ATS will not remove any anti-piracy measures in order to make a copy of media, even with copyright clearance.
